Nurture the small things until they become BIG.

Amazon sends me royalties every month for my first published book. And whenever I see that email and read the value (and it is small right now but it can buy a couple of McDonalds … OK). I smile to my self and I am thankful and happy. My heart gets all warm because of my gratefulness.

I have learnt that nurturing the small, being present, not dismissive, being thankful and grateful for the small is how you manifest bigger things in ones life.

Complaining that it’s too small or it’s not enough simple means that God, the universe whom ever you believe says, “you know what, I’m not gonna give you no more right now because you are not appreciating the gift” You know when parents have worked hard and gone without to give a child something and the child’s response is … is this it? No appreciation for the gift nor the effort that went into getting that gift. You just know that child is going to have to wait until their turn or not comes again. Things for which we complain about remains small. Beit our salary, our homes, our any other thing.

Today I am so very grateful that I am alive, in this space and that Amazon, AMAZON are sending me royalties. What a blessing which I know will only increase.

Nurture the small things people, be grateful for everything, appreciate everything for the small will surely increase.

Stay blessed x

Time

Maybe I’m getting older! I don’t feel old but I AM getting older … lol. Time is marching on at a pace and in my head I am still in my 30’s.💃🏾

Things have altered and the changing of the guard has happened. I am now the adult and having to do things my parents use to take care of like family funerals. I’m having to take charge and provide guidance. I don’t remember anyone preparing me for this. Where’s the hand book? 📖

Over a 10 day period I’ve attended (in person) 2 weddings and a funeral. I attended the christenings of one of these youngsters 36 years ago. It doesn’t seem possible, where has time gone?

I realise that time is our most precious asset, we can totally loose our health and get it back but once time is gone it’s gone, can’t get it back, will not return.

I encourage everyone (including myself) to reflect on this fact, it’s critical that we don’t waste time on things that simple don’t matter.

This week, in fact today, take an inventory, and ask yourself …

* Where do I spend most of my time?

* What do I need to stop doing and start doing more of?

* Where am I wasting my time?

Let’s manage our time wisely, maybe spend more time with the ones we love. (This is a must for me especially the older folk).

Maybe get more fresh air, give social media a break every 2 days, sleep more, laugh more.

Volunteer and make a difference to someone’s life.

Make a telephone call instead of sending a text, hear someone’s voice and connect.

Make today and everyday count peeps, you know it makes sense.

Have a beyond brilliant day.

Peace 😘.

Dig a little deeper.

When my daughter was younger she would make a point to remind me of something. On the 1st September she would say, ‘ we are in the ’embers’! That was her way of saying, lets re-group after the summer holidays and knuckle down for the autumn. I received the attached and thought I would share it. We can’t get motivation from the cloud just yet so we’ll just have to use the manual option for now.
