Imposter ? …. Nah! Absolutely not.

So a few weeks ago I fulfilled a long held dream of mine by becoming a published author. I use to say ‘when I grow up I’m going to be a published author’.

When my authors copy arrived in the post and I unpacked the envelope, I was like a little kid full of glee and pride. I love my book, I love the cover and I especially love the calligraphy font. I reread the content from time to time and it’s pretty decent. (Even if I do say it myself). 🤗🤗 It’s taken me a little under a year to craft even though the words have been in my head for some time.

What have I learnt through the process?

I have learnt that ….

1. Anything I put my mind to do I can achieve, and so can you.

2. Having a plan (or a rough sketch) is a good tool.

3. Doing a little something each and every day or at regular intervals leads to real progress.

4. Completing what I start gives huge satisfaction.

5. Anything is possible and if others can so can I.

6. Imposter syndrome is real ! at any age or stage in ones life. The antidote is to stay with the uncomfortableness it will eventually subside.

7. My creativity has increased 10 fold and new ideas keep flowing.

8. I should Never ever give up.

9. Keeping the negative self talk under control is a key skill to learn. Otherwise it can hamper a great project.

10. Success builds confidence in ones self and abilities.

Now available on Amazon ….

Feeling truly grow up today, I am a published author and have sold copies in the US, U.K. and Germany. Now that’s pretty cool.
